Masaka Life

Monday 13th

Another early start on Monday morning so the mini buses could be filled with both luggage and donations for Molly & Paul’s children’s village in Kamuzinda. After all was packed, the group head out for a morning and lunch in the nearest city of Masaka. There we saw the markets and shops of the city before visiting the supermarket to pick up the essentials of Pringles and hot chocolate.

We eat lunch at a Dutch BBQ and internet café for a rich and plentiful buffet of both Ugandan and world cuisine.

After we’d eaten, we left for the 45 minute journey to Kamuzinda on full stomachs and given a very warm welcome when we arrived. This included a serenade down the entire driveway and a 2 part performance from the Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir.
